I’d like to book a vineyard tour and tasting during my visit; how can I do this?
- We would love you to join us for a vineyard and winery tour and tasting. Please check availability before you book by looking at our tours schedule here: https://www.woodchestervalleyvineyard.co.uk/visit/tours. During April – September, tours run on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays, with tours running less regularly outside of these months. We recommend booking the tour at the same time as booking the accommodation (add both options to your basket) to ensure you have reserved your place, as we have limited spaces for each tour. If you are visiting on a day where there are no tours, please pop down to visit our Cellar Door Shop instead where you can sample some of our wines: https://www.woodchestervalleyvineyard.co.uk/shop/cellar-door-shop.
What is there to do in the local area?
- Each of our rooms have an information pack included, with ideas of things to do, and some maps and leaflets for local tourist attractions. We have put together a brief guide to the South Cotswolds to whet your appetite; please click here to see our suggestions.
Is there somewhere to eat nearby?
- There are plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafés for breakfast, lunch and dinner within a few miles of the vineyard; please click here for a list of suggested options while you are here. Parking in Nailsworth and the surrounding villages is free of charge and there are several local taxi companies that serve the area. Please note that if you are planning to walk, it is a steep walk back up the hill to the vineyard.
How do I get to you?
- Once we have received your reservation and payment has been processed, you will receive an email with detailed directions on how to find us. If you do not receive this, please check your spam inbox, or contact us if you haven’t received it.
Is there a taxi firm I can contact to book a ride back?
- There are several local firms which we have used and can be booked in advance.

What if I need to change/cancel my reservation?
- Please contact us if you need to amend or cancel your reservation. If you would like to re-book for another date we can do this for no additional charge. If you need to cancel your reservation, then we will offer a full refund if it is within 14 days of arrival. If circumstances are beyond your control, please get in contact with us.
I have a gift voucher which I’d like to use against my booking; how can I do this?
- If you have received a gift voucher, you will have a voucher code included. Please select your dates as normal and add to the basket. The gift voucher code can be entered at the check-out and this will deduct the value of the gift voucher from your order. Please note that if your email/voucher states that you have a ‘coupon code’ then this should be entered in the coupon code box at the check-out.
I’d like to book a stay at the Vineyard Barns for a week night and a weekend; how can I do this?
- For our vineyard barns, we require a minimum two night stay at weekends (Friday and Saturday night) with Sunday night offered at a lower rate for those who wish to leave Monday morning. If you would like to stay over a week night and a weekend, please select the weekend of your choice, add this option to the basket, and then go through and separately add your week night option to the basket as well. When you check-out, both of these will come through as one booking.
I’d like to bring my dog; can I do this?
- We welcome dogs to stay in The Retreat however unfortunately we cannot accommodate them in the Vineyard Barns. If you would like to bring your dog to stay, please look at the details for The Retreat and enquire about availability.
Are children welcome in the guest rooms?
- We welcome children aged 12 or over to stay in The Retreat, however unfortunately we cannot accommodate them in the Vineyard Barns. As we are a working vineyard with large machinery on site, we cannot accommodate children under the age of 12 at The Retreat.
