The Cotswold Farm Shop Series - Channel 4 Monday 14th August 2023 8pm
This news has been under wraps for a good few months now but with the screening of the Cotswold Farm Shop Episode 2 this evening we are finally allowed to talk about our contribution to the series.
We were delighted to welcome a film crew to the vineyard during harvest last year to shoot footage for the Cotswold Farm Shop series on Channel 4. This is at Gloucester Services on the M5 and has become a top destination for anyone travelling up or down that route. For a few years now the Tebay services on the M5 further north has been a must-stop for many travellers and what they have done at Gloucester is very exciting with its own butchery and cheese department. A whole section of the wine department has been allocated to English Wines and it’s absolutely great to see them championing local produce. Woodchester Valley has been supplying the Gloucester Services since 2017 with a range of our wines and we are delighted to be working with a business which not only provides a haven for M5 motorists but is also supportive of the local community.
Hats off to film crews everywhere. There were two days of filming for a generous ten minutes screen time. As most was filmed outside in the vineyard, we had the autumn weather to contend with as well as a busy harvest. The hilly terrain of our vineyards was a challenge for all of those carrying around cameras and microphones up and down the vines. A great time was had by all during a very busy and frantic couple of days. As you might expect there was a lot more footage recorded than is being shown and a lot gets left on the cutting room floor but it gives a great overview of the vineyard and features Fiona, Chloe, Jeremy and other team members.
If you are travelling up or down the M5 do go and visit. If you are further afield then we have put together a couple of ‘Celebration’ cases which will be available for a limited time only.
