Spring has arrived! And we’ve got plenty to keep you busy up at the vineyard. Join on us Sunday 3rd March for our popular Vineyard Dog Walk. You’ll have a spring in your step as we explore the vineyards at Woodchester followed by a wine flight back in our cosy tasting room, and treats for your four-legged friends! Our classic tour on Tuesday 5th March has had a glow up – we’ve teamed up with Simpsons in Stroud to enjoy a fish and chips lunch ahead of the tour!
The second of our Taste and Create series is on Sunday 10th March – we’ll be getting crafty with glass painting. Enjoy an informal wine tasting and then get creative to make your own beautiful wine glasses – the perfect Mother’s Day activity! We’ve got our second Geology tour of the year on Sunday 17th March – this event sold out in February so grab one of the last few spaces. We’ll take a trip back in time and explore the soils at our vineyards, before heading out into the vineyard for some fossil hunting. Warm up with some soup back in the tasting room and a wine flight.
We’ve also got our Wine Wednesdays on Wednesday 20th March. Ideal for those new to wine or if you want to learn the basics of food & pairing. A relaxed and informal evening where we’ll teach you the basics of how to taste wine, and the secrets of pairing food and wines, using examples from our range of wines. Hone your senses, explore the aromas and flavours and learn how to pick your perfect food match – we’ll be serving light nibbles which correlate to the basic food tastes to explore with your wines.
April 2024
We’re kicking off April’s special events on Tuesday April 2nd with a perfect pairing – our classic vineyard tour and wine tasting, followed by a portion of Simpson’s Finest Fish and Chips! Or if you are looking for something plant-based then why not join our Vegan Wine & Food pairing on the evening of Wednesday April 3rd where we’ll be matching 5 of our wines with 5 delicious plant based appetisers!
April’s Vineyard Tour and Dog walk will be on Wednesday 24th April – the first of 2024’s evening dog walks as the evenings get lighter again!
Plus let’s not forget our monthly Friday evening specials! For March and April we have our Cheese & Wine night (Friday 15th March/12th April), Discovery Evening (Friday 22nd March/19th April) and Fizz & Chips (Friday 29th March/26th April). Fizz & Chips is currently sold out for March & April but we have a few spaces left on May’s event.
Regular Vineyard Tours & Wine Tastings
Our award winning vineyard and winery tours are running as usual! We’ll be discussing Spring vineyard activities and in the winery the team are getting ready to bottle the 2023 still wines at the start of April! Tours are running as follows:
- Classic tours (Monday, Tuesdays*, Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays* 3pm. *Tuesdays & Sundays from April)
- Classic tours with grazing lunch (Wednesdays 11am; Fridays 1pm)
- Premium tours (Thursdays*, Saturdays & Sundays* 11am. Plus Friday 1st March, 5th April at 6:15pm *Thursdays and Sundays from April)
